Wolf & Badger, the London-founded clothes and gifts retailer, saw record sales last year as shoppers switched to online while its stores closed.

The company, which sells products such as jewellery and homeware from independent designers, had to shut its Kings Cross and New York stores at various time last year for Covid-19 lockdowns.

But it recorded a 92% surge in online sales to £19.1 million, with total group revenues up around 79%.

The website attracted over 100,000 new visitors during the period, and there was a strong performance in the lingerie and nightwear division, and blankets and face masks also sold well.

Wolf & Badger was founded in 2010 by brothers George and Henry Graham.

George Graham said: “We saw an influx of new customers turning to our online platform from March and this more than offset the impact of our London store being closed. Now that they have discovered this, I am sure many customers will no doubt continue to visit us online for convenient delivery of unique and individual pieces direct to their home, but we still very much look forward to reopening our Coal Drops Yard store as soon as possible and welcoming them back in to browse in real life too.”
