After an absence of almost 20 years, hit sitcom Frasier returned to our screens courtesy of an eagerly-anticipated revival from Paramount+.

Starring Kelsey Grammer as quirky psychiatrist Frasier Crane, the show was created as a spin-off of the much-loved NBC sitcom Cheers and aired for 11 critically acclaimed seasons between 1993 and 2004.

Naturally, the success of the cult comedy catapulted its cast to new heights of fame and fortune during the 90s and early 2000s. But what did the stars do when the original series wrapped, and who's worth the most money today?

Laura Linney played Charlotte Connor, a recurring character in the final season of Frasier. Charlotte was a professional matchmaker and the eventual love interest of chief protagonist Frasier. The role landed Linney an Emmy award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2004.

The actress started her career on the stage before later making her silver screen debut in the 1992 movie Lorenzo's Oil.

Before guest-starring in Frasier, she'd already appeared in a string of hit movies, including the psychological sci-fi flick The Truman Show (1998) and the 2003 Christmas classic Love Actually.

Post-Frasier, the critically acclaimed star went on to appear in movies such as comedy flick The Nanny Diaries (2007) and the 2016 blockbuster Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Between 2010 and 2013, she starred in The Big C, with her portrayal of lead character Cathy Jamison winning her Best Actress - Television Series (Musical or Comedy) at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Linney is probably best known for her role in the gripping Netflix crime drama Ozark. She starred in the series between 2017 and 2022, earning four Emmy nominations for her work as an actress and producer on the show. Most recently, Linney appeared in the 2024 drama movie Suncoast, which is currently streaming on Hulu.

According to online estimates, Linney's estimated net worth is a neat $10 million (£7.8m).

Bebe Neuwirth: $10 million (£7.8m)

Bebe Neuwirth played Lilith Sternin, the ex-wife of Frasier Crane. Her character initially appeared as Frasier's love interest in season four of Cheers, with the couple later marrying and having a son before eventually divorcing in the first series of Frasier.

Neuwirth landed two Emmy awards for her portrayal of Lilith in Cheers and earned an additional nod for her reprisal of the character in Frasier. Fans will be pleased to hear she's returning to the role in the Frasier revival.

A critically acclaimed Broadway star, Neuwirth had no desire to work in television and was initially slated to appear in just one episode of Cheers. However, the show's writers convinced her to stay on, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Neuwirth later returned to her Broadway roots, most notably winning a Tony Award for her stint as leading lady Velma Kelly in Chicago in 1997.

She’s continued to grace the screen too, with roles in the likes of rom-com How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) and the critically acclaimed Netflix movie Tick, Tick... Boom! (2021). The multitalented star most recently had a recurring role in the HBO drama series Julia, which chronicles the life of chef and TV star Julia Child.

Neuwirth's estimated total fortune is a cool $10 million (£7.8m).

The role of down-to-earth Daphne earned Leeves a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 1994, as well as an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series three years later.

Before landing her breakout role on Frasier in 1993, the actress appeared in other popular TV shows, including Who's the Boss?, Seinfeld, and Murder, She Wrote.

The actress made her debut in the TV series 21 Jump Street in 1988, and her other early credits include shows such as Flesh 'n' Blood and Wings. Gilpin even appeared in an episode of Cheers in 1993, though she played a character called Holly Matheson in that instance.

Gilpin's estimated net worth is $25 million (£19.5m), with most of her fortune stemming from her Frasier days. By the time of the show's final two seasons, she was reportedly taking home an incredible $500,000 (£390k) per episode.

David Hyde Pierce: $40 million (£31.2m)

NBC

NBC

David Hyde Pierce played Niles Crane, the younger brother of Frasier. Pierce won four Emmys for his portrayal of the snobbish and highly intelligent Niles, as well as an additional seven nominations.

The actor made his debut in the 1985 flick Moving Violations. He'd also appeared in movies such as Sleepless in Seattle (1993) and Bright Lights, Big City (1988) before getting his big break on Frasier in 1993.

After Frasier, Pierce appeared in TV shows such as the critically acclaimed The Good Wife and the docudrama miniseries When We Rise.

He also landed vocal roles in a number of projects, including the Disney fantasy epic Treasure Planet and animated favourite The Simpsons, playing the brother of Kelsey Grammer's character Sideshow Bob. Most recently, he appeared in the first season of Julia alongside his former Frasier co-star Bebe Neuwirth.

Pierce's reported net worth is $40 million (£31.2m), with much of it derived from his time on Frasier. The actor was taking home an incredible $1 million (£780k) per episode by the final two seasons of the series.

Kelsey Grammer: $80 million (£62.4m)

Kelsey Grammer first played the intelligent and complicated psychiatrist Frasier Crane in Cheers, before going on to land his very own spin-off show in 1993. The actor scored four Emmy awards and two Golden Globes for his performance in Frasier over the years, along with a slew of nominations.

Before Cheers and Frasier catapulted Grammer to global fame, he'd had roles in the TV shows Ryan's Hope and Another World, as well as appearing in the made-for-TV movie Macbeth.

Frasier isn’t the only iconic character Grammer has brought to life. He's voiced the villainous Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons since 1990, and he played the dastardly Stinky Pete in 1999's Toy Story 2. Other notable credits include the X-Men franchise, action flick The Expendables 3 (2014), and the blockbuster Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014).

The versatile actor has also worked on Broadway, starring in the likes of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and My Fair Lady. In 2016, he won a Tony Award for co-producing a Broadway adaptation of Alice Walker's 1982 novel The Color Purple.

With his impressive list of accolades, it's hardly surprising that Grammer's estimated net worth today is $80 million (£62.4m). Much of his fortune comes from Frasier, and he earned an incredible $1.6 million (£1.3m) per episode in the final two seasons of the show. We'll say Cheers to that...
