Yahoo Finance Rihanna got long sideburns cut in and we're losing it
Rihanna has had a pretty quiet first half of the year, but on the rare occasion she's popped up on our radar, her hair has looked out-of-this-world incredible.
She jumped on the mullet bandwagon back in September last year for a Fenty lingerie show, unveiling new shaved sides and long, down-the-back layers. We were very excited to see her join the likes of Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish and Cardi B in The Mullet Mob, although you could argue she actually started the trend back in 2013, when she teamed a short-cropped fringe with long extensions for NYFW.
And if the X-treme haircut wasn't already adventurous enough, she appeared to take a leaf out of Billie Eilish's book by adding slime-green highlights to the style, woven into what was arguably her fiercest mullet yet... and again, we were obsessed.
Well, in Rihanna's latest set of pictures there's not a mullet to be seen. Instead, she wears her hair long and sleek with a deep side part (thanks to go-to hairstylist Yusef). The shots were posted as part of an announcement regarding Rihanna's upcoming Fenty fragrance, and although we were very excited to hear that RiRi's new smell was on it's way, we were also very excited about something else...
... her long, sleek sideburns, cut into a blunt angle and ending in a point. Don't believe us? Check out the pictures. Serious futuristic vibes, no?
Is it us or is there something very Star Trek about the look? Perhaps there's a new remake on the way and she's turning her hand to acting again...
