Rihanna's latest hot pink look is peak Gen Z Barbie vibes
We've said it before and we'll say it again: 2000s trends are back in a big way this summer. From bucket hats flooding the high street to Ed Hardy tees making a resurgence on Depop, Y2K style is literally everywhere right now. For many Gen Z peeps, this is the first time they've actually worn said trends, but for millennials, the whole thing is nostalgic as heck.
One of the latest celebs to get in on the throwback aesthetic is Rihanna, who just stepped out in New York City with A$AP Rocky wearing a gloriously old school lewk.
First up is the party-worthy hot pink slip dress, with a fierce hip-high split and thin spaghetti straps. Yup, it's a total mood - one we wanna recreate when clubs finally reopen. Then, RiRi teams the midi with an even more eye-catching furry bucket hat in the same bright tone. Ya really can't miss her in this 'fit, and you definitely wouldn't want to.
As for jewellery, Rihanna opts for a pink beaded necklace wrapped around her neck multiple times and extending down to her waist. But we're not done with the noughties details just yet, no sir. The whole outfit is finished with a white Fendi baguette bag and a pair of bronze-toned heels.
Of course, it goes without saying that Ri's beauty situation was on point, with a colour-pop mani to match her outfit, a glossy pink lip and mega glam lashes.
While I might be a little less keen to revisit some 2000s trends, I have to admit, Rihanna's outfit is giving me major life: it's fun, sexy and bold - three things I think we can all agree we're more than ready for after a year spent in loungewear.
