Rogue's 'Cliffhanger' Bodyweight Challenge Is the Perfect Way to Test Your Strength at Home

From Men's Health

Now that we've been working (out) from home for almost a year — kitchen WODs, garden sprints and living room leg days now seem to be the norm — it's time to give your home fitness routine a little shake-up, in the form of Rogue Fitness' 'Cliffhanger' bodyweight challenge.

Rogue, specialists in strength and conditioning equipment and the official kit supplier for the CrossFit Games, recently encouraged their followers to take on a simple but sinister bodyweight challenge that tests both strength and mental fortitude. The best part? It only requires a simple piece of kit — a straight bar, a pull-up bar or somewhere strong enough to support your entire bodyweight in a dead hang.

The 'Cliffhanger' challenge is a simple one: to "test your grip and be the athlete with the longest hang from a pull-up bar," reads the official post from Rogue.

"Anyone, anywhere, is welcome to sign-up and compete for a spot on the leaderboard."

Prize packages for the 'Cliffhanger' challenge include $2,500 and a Rogue Anvil Grip for first place, $1,000 and a Dinnie Ring Set for second place, and $500 and Rogue Cannonball Grips for third place.

Unsurprisingly, 'Cliffhanger' is going down well and five-time CrossFit Games champion Mat Fraser mucked in over the weekend and encouraged his followers to take it on.

Elite CrossFit athlete Justin Medeiros, who placed third in the 2020 Games, took it well over the three-minute mark and vied his followers to take part, writing "Curious to see the insane numbers everyone puts up on the @roguefitness cliff hanger challenge! Who’s done it yet?"

If you want to take part in Rogue's 'Cliffhanger' challenge, here's how:

1. Register at roguefitness.com/challenges
2. Compete in any location you wish
3. Submit your score and video using YouTube and the @btwbapp. Scores are due on March 8th at 8:00pm EST (01:00AM GMT, March 9th).
