Ronnie Wood Welcomes 'Perfect' Twin Girls

Ronnie Wood Welcomes 'Perfect' Twin Girls

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has become a father again just two days before his 69th birthday.

His 38-year-old wife Sally gave birth to twin girls on Monday, the couple's publicist said in a statement.

"Ronnie & Sally Wood are delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane (6lb) & Alice Rose (5.7lb)," the statement said.

"The girls arrived on May 30 at 10.30pm and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect."

He already has four other children with his two previous wives, but this is the first with Sally.

In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, he said: "I'm unbelievably lucky and unbelievably blessed.

"I love all my kids. I love being a dad and to have this happening is just wonderful. I'm a lucky guy.

"I'm going to be changing the nappies and all that goes with it. I'm looking forward to all that."

He and Sally married at London's Dorchester Hotel in 2012 - with Rod Stewart as Wood's best man - after dating for six months.

They met at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane where Wood was displaying some of his artwork.
