Royal Bank of Scotland files for AT1 US dollar bond

NEW YORK, Aug 8 (IFR) - Royal Bank of Scotland (LSE: RBS.L - news) filed on Monday for an SEC (Shanghai: 603988.SS - news) -registered perpetual non-call 5 year Additional Tier 1 bond in US dollars.

The bank may also consider adding a perpetual non-call 10-year tranche to the deal, according to the filing.

The instrument will have a 7% Common Equity Tier 1 trigger for conversion to equity, the filing said. (Reporting by Will Caiger-Smith; Editing by Jack Doran)
