Yahoo Finance All Of The Royal Family's Special Birthday Messages To Meghan Markle
It's very special day today for Meghan Markle – The Duchess of Sussex has hit a milestone birthday and is celebrating turning 40! It comes just two months after Meghan became a mother again to a daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, so we imagine that she and Prince Harry will be spending the day celebrating with their new family of four.
As for the couple's other family members overseas (the Royals, no less), they have also been keen to share in the celebrations by posting birthday well wishes to Meghan on social media.
Leading the way was The Queen's official Instagram account (@theroyalfamily), which shared a collage of three images on both Instagram and Twitter. One image showed Meghan and Harry with their then baby son, Archie Harrison, while meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town, South Africa.
Another shot includes one of Prince Harry and Meghan at one of their last ever working engagements as senior royals at the Endeavour Awards. Then, a touching third choice shows The Queen and Meghan together during their royal outing as a twosome, taken back in 2018, suggesting Her Majesty is keen to remember happier times.
The collage was accompanied by the words 'Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday today!'
Prince Harry's brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, also used their account (@dukeandduchessofcambridge) to share a throwback photo of Meghan, taken while she was on a tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand with Harry, and pregnant with Archie.
In the image, Meghan is on a visit to Bondi beach and is wearing a striped dress, complete with a flower garland.
The accompanying birthday message shared by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Meghan reads "Wishing a happy 40th birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!" along with a celebratory cake emoji.
Then last, but by certainly no means least, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, also took to Instagram Stories to post a shout-out to their daughter-in-law across the pond.
Opting for a picture of Meghan taken at a discussion on gender equality with The Queens Commonwealth Trust (QCT) and One Young World at Windsor Castle, the @clarencehouse account added a message: "Wishing the Duchess of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday!" complete with a party popper emoji.
Given the time difference between the UK and California, where Meghan, Harry, Archie and Lilibet live, we bet it'll be a lovely surprise for the Duchess to see when she wakes up to later on today.
