RWE considers selling stake to Abu Dhabi investor - Bloomberg

LONDON, March 18 (Reuters) - Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) in RWE (Xetra: 703712 - news) rose as much as 5.6 percent on Wednesday, with traders citing a Bloomberg report saying that the Germany utility is considering selling a 10 percent stake to Abu Dhabi investors.

RWE declined to comment. The company's shares were last seen up 3.7 percent at 24.55 euros.

According to Bloomberg, which cites people with knowledge of the matter, RWE has been in talks with investors in the Emirate about the potential sale since last year and there is no certainty an agreement will be reached. (Reporting by Francesco Canepa, additional reporting by Harro Ten Wolde)
