Is this the ultimate doer-up? House hunters wanting a bargain can buy a flat in Tufnell Park for £400,000 as long as they don’t mind building a roof.

The derelict office has got planning permission to be turned into a two bedroom flat but any new owners will have to fix it up.

They will also have to remove the debris, broken furniture and vegetation that fills the rooms.

But its sellers say its potential to become a sought after home on a street of smart town houses neat local shops and Tufnell Park Playing Fields trump the obvious drawbacks.

Two bedroom flats in the area, near Tufnell Park station on the Northern Line, typically go for anything between £500,000 and £1,000,000.
