Samsung has developed three major robot devices to co-exist with humans in the home, as it unveils its latest applications of Artificial Intelligence technologies at CES 2021.

Designed to enhance daily lives and cater to a variety of lifestyles and environments, Samsung's latest tech shows us what life will look like 'in a not too distant future' – and it's a game-changer.

'Samsung has long been at the forefront of AI and robotics innovation, leveraging its seven global AI research centres to advance technology. By bringing AI to its products, Samsung is creating new home experiences,' the home electronics brand reveals.

Here are the three major technologies unveiled by Samsung during the CES press conference:

Samsung BotCare

Think of Samsung Bot™ Care as both a robotic assistant and companion, designed to use AI to recognise and respond to human behaviour. Essentially, it will help to take care of the details in your life, plus learn your schedule and habits, whilst sending you reminders to help guide you throughout your busy day. Perfect for the remote worker, working from home just became more organised with Bot Care, from advising you to take breaks when you've been sat at your desk for too long, to reminding you about your conference call and setting up the call for you to take the meeting on the robot's pop-up tablet.

Release date: in development.

Samsung Bot™ Handy

Relying on advanced AI to recognise and pick up objects of varying sizes, shapes and weights, Samsung Bot™ Handy is a housekeeper that will become an extension of you and help you with work around the house. It will be able to tell the difference between the material composition of various objects, so can fill the dishwasher, separate the laundry, set the table and even pour you a glass of wine. Working as 'your trusted partner', the robot utilises the appropriate amount of force to grab and move around household items and objects.

JetBot 90 AI+

JetBot 90 AI+ is a vacuum cleaner which uses object recognition technology to identify and classify objects to decide the best cleaning path. 3D sensors allow JetBot 90 AI+ to avoid cables and small objects, while still cleaning hard-to-reach corners in your home. Perhaps the most interesting feature of all, however, is that this clever vacuum cleaner is outfitted with a camera and integrated with the SmartThings app to assist you with home monitoring. So think of it like a roving security camera which you can use to keep an eye on your home when you're away, especially useful for general home monitoring or if you have pets.

Release date: it's coming to the US in the first half of 2021.
