Yahoo Finance Scarlett Johansson's husband tricked into mocking her over questionable movie roles
Scarlett Johansson was made the butt of her husband’s jokes on Saturday Night Live’s Christmas episode as he read out a crack about her controversial film roles.
Colin Jost was tricked into mocking her during his regular stint on the US sketch show’s Weekend Update segment, which features unseen jokes that he and co-host Michael Che have written for each other.
The segment usually includes gags that are bordering on offensive, but in the Christmas episode Jost was left hoping his wife would see the funny side of Che poking fun at her.

Jost was reporting on Creed frontman Scott Stapp being cast as Frank Sinatra in a forthcoming Ronald Reagan biopic when he found himself reading out: “But the good news is Sammy Davis Jr will be played by Scarlett Johansson."
The joke mocked the controversies surrounding some of Johansson’s roles, including the criticism she received for playing a Japanese character in 2017’s Ghost in the Shell, and a backlash against her being cast as a trans male gangster in the film Rub & Tug that led to her dropping out of the movie.
Her husband, who she married earlier this year, shook his head and put his face in his hands after making the joke.
Johansson, who has previously been married to Ryan Reynolds and Romain Dauriac, tied the knot with Jost in October after dating him since 2017.

Elsewhere on the festive episode of SNL, the cast highlighted some of President Trump’s most controversial moments in the White House, in a farewell to one of their most heavily featured impersonation victims.
Alex Moffat replaced Jim Carrey for an impersonation of Joe Biden that went down well with viewers, who felt it was more accurate.
