Yahoo Finance Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy lands next movie role in Witness Protection comedy
Annie Murphy has well and truly moved on from Schitt's Creek, with the actress now attached to an upcoming feature-length comedy.
Following the news that Annie was close to quitting acting before landing the iconic role of Alexis Rose, Deadline is reporting that she's teamed up with two of Schitt's Creek's writers for an exciting new project.
Produced by a female-driven comedy label, Annie is in talks to star in Witness Protection, set to be written by Rupinder Gill and David West Read of the Canadian sitcom.

There are no further details on the title's director or other cast members for now, but we do at least have a plot to work off, which confirms that the comedy will (unsurprisingly) centre on a woman who's forced to enter witness protection.
Murphy's character finds herself defined by her romantic relationships, but when she enters witness protection, she's left with no option but to figure out who she really is – while maintaining her cover and staying away from criminals at the same time.

Elsewhere, Annie Murphy recently revealed that she contemplated giving up her dream of acting just days before she got the call to audition for Schitt's Creek.
And if that isn't shocking enough, she also admitted that her character's 'Ew, David' catchphrase doesn't actually crop up that much in the show. Ew.
