The man who tried to rob Sead Kolasinac and Mesut Ozil has pleaded guilty after attempting to rob watches from the two Arsenal players.

Jordan Northover, 26, who appeared at Harrow Crown Court, is the second man to be charged over the incident on Platts Lane, north-west London, on July 25. In October, Ashley Smith pleaded guilty to the same charge.

The attempted robbery was caught on CCTV footage and showed two men armed with metal objects – allegedly a pole and a screwdriver – trying to rob the two footballers.

Kolasinac and Ozil were travelling in the German’s G-class Mercedes, with footage showing the defender jump out and chase down the attackers.

According to the charges, Smith is accused of “attempting to rob Sead Kolasinac of a watch of a value unknown”.

Ozil and Kolasinac missed the start of the Premier League as a result of the incident but both are back playing for the club.
