- The EFOY Hybrid Power, EFOY fuel cell combined with EFOY Lithium Battery is the intelligent, powerful and efficient power supply duo for motor homes, boats and outdoor use - the EFOY fuel cell will be available in November 2020 and the EFOY Li-thium battery in January 2021
Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, September 04, 2020 - SFC Energy AG (F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, presents the next generation of EFOY fuel cells for sustainable power supply in motor homes, boats and outdoor applications at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (September 04 - September 13, 2020) starting today. SFC Energy will also present the new EFOY lithium battery at the industry's most important trade show, which can be held as a face-to-face event thanks to a comprehensive hygiene concept.
Travel brings people together. In times of scarce resources and climate change, sustainable tourism and mobility concepts are becoming increasingly important. SFC Energy has been accompanying and shaping this trend for 20 years now, achieving pioneering work and combining top performance in research & development with groundbreaking technologies to create sustainable solutions. In response to the ever-increasing demands for energy supply in the leisure sector, SFC Energy now introduces the new product generation of EFOY fuel cells and the new EFOY lithium battery. The fifth generation has been designed to meet the needs of leisure customers even more closely - in line with the company's maxim:
EFOY - Your freedom. Your power.
The new EFOY 150 with a maximum charging capacity of 150 ampere hours (Ah) per day and the EFOY 80 with 80 Ah completely redefine the feeling of freedom of an individual caravaning or sailing trip. The lower weight and height save space and the extended tank connection improves installation possibilities. This is a decisive criterion, since the desire is increasingly moving towards high quality, but above all more compact motorhomes or boats. High quality means that the number of electrical devices on board is increasing. Travellers don't want to be without comfort. And they don't have to - thanks to the EFOY 150 and E-FOY 80 direct methanol fuel cell by SFC Energy. The fuel cell provides 12 V and now also 24 V on-board electronics and auxiliary devices such as refrigerator, TV or - for digital nomads - laptop during idle times. Via an inverter 230 V devices can also be used.
Once campsites are fully booked or the bay is too beautiful to continue and there is no access to the conventional power grid, the energy supply is still guaranteed. Even more: SFC Energy now makes the environmentally friendly power generated by the EFOY fuel cell storable. For this purpose, SFC Energy presents the EFOY Li 105 lithium battery with a maximum capacity of 105 Ah and the EFOY Li 70 lithium battery with 70 Ah. An ideal power storage solution for traveling with high discharge currents. The integrated Smart Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors and optimizes battery parameters. In this way the current is perfectly matched to the requirements of the end device and the battery is protected. Even in winter at temperatures as low as -20 C, the power storage unit can be charged by a built-in heating element.
EFOY fuel cells and lithium batteries: Unbeatable together
Together, the EFOY fuel cell and EFOY Li lithium battery are unbeatable. The smart BMS of the EFOY lithium battery ensures intelligent communication between fuel cell and battery. The EFOY fuel cell works at maximum efficiency and the battery benefits from ideal charging, special protection and a long service life. Perfectly matched to each other, the EFOY Hybrid Power provides 100 percent self-sufficient, weather-independent and above all environmentally friendly energy - anytime, anywhere. The new EFOY fuel cell generation will be available in stores from November 2020. The new EFOY Li lithium battery will follow in January 2021.
"2020 is a special year for us in every respect. SFC Energy will be 20 years old and we have the great pleasure to present our new EFOY fuel cell generation and EFOY lithium battery personally at the Caravan Salon. Our new products are the result of many years of pioneering know-how and absolute passion for environmentally friendly mobility and a greener future," says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG.
SFC Energy is looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf from September 4 to 13, 2020 in Hall 13 / Booth A36, who would like to see the powerful fuel cell and battery range for themselves. The press conference, also taking place on September 4, at 8:30 a.m. in the Congress Centre CCD Room 3, can also be followed by streaming by interested media representatives who are unable to attend in person:
As usual, the SFC Energy Team will be available to media representatives and will have test equipment available for journalistic reporting. Feel free to contact us directly or get in touch with our press team.
