Shell has begun restarting 37,500 bpd crude unit at Sarnia refinery - source

NEW YORK, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (LSE: 0LN9.L - news) has begun restarting a 37,500 barrel-per-day crude unit at its Sarnia, Ontario, refinery after it was unexpectedly shut on Thursday, according to a source familiar with the plant's operations.

The unit at the 75,000 bpd refinery was shut due to a leak.

The company plans to shut the same unit at the 75,000 bpd refinery on Sept. 7 for up to 40 days of work. (Reporting By Jarrett Renshaw; Editing by Phil Berlowitz)
