Shell Deer Park refinery completes overhaul, restarts crude unit -sources

Nov 19 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc completed a planned seven-week multi-unit overhaul at its 340,000 barrel-per-day (bpd), joint-venture Deer Park, Texas, refinery on Monday, said sources familiar with plant operations on Tuesday.

The refinery’s largest crude distillation unit (CDU), the 270,000 bpd DU-2, completed restarting on Monday, the sources said.

Also shut for overhaul along with DU-2 were the 92,000 bpd Coker and 67,000 bpd hydrocracker and several other units. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
