Shell Norco, Louisiana, refinery cuts coker production for work - sources
HOUSTON (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc <RDSa.L> cut back production on the coker at its 225,300-barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco, Louisiana, refinery on Thursday to perform maintenance on the unit, sources familiar with plant operations said on Friday.
Shell plans to clean carbon that has built up on the furnaces of the 25,000-bpd coker, the sources said. The coker will remain in reduced production while the cleaning takes place.
