Shell Norco, Louisiana, refinery reduces coker production on upset -sources
HOUSTON, April 6 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc cut production on the coker at its 225,300 barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco, Louisiana, refinery after a malfunction shut a sulfur unit, said sources familiar with plant operations.
One furnace was shut on the 25,000 bpd coker to reduce the amount of sulfur produced by the refinery after the sulfur unit was shut to repair a heat exchanger, the sources said. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
