Shell Norco, Louisiana reformer restart continuing - sources
HOUSTON (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell Plc was continuing the restart of a catalytic reformer at its 225,800 barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco, Louisiana, refinery on Friday, said sources familiar with plant operations. Shell began restarting the 40,000 bpd Catalytic Reformer-2 on Thursday, the sources said. The unit was shut on Aug. 4 for repairs after a flange fire. Reformers convert low-octane naphtha into high-octane components that are blended into gasoline. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; editing by Diane Craft)
