Shell reports planned maintenance at Texas refinery -community line

April 15 (Reuters) - Shell Oil Co reported planned maintenance was underway at its plant in Deer Park, Texas, according to a message posted on a community information line.

The maintenance activity might cause flaring, it said.

The facility houses a 327,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) refinery and a chemical plant.

It was not immediately clear whether the maintenance was underway at the chemical plant or the refinery.

The Deer Park refinery is a 50-50 joint venture between Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) and Mexico's national oil company Pemex.
