Guests kept things colorful outside day two of functions at New York Fashion Week, despite the gloomy, rainy weather, taking it upon themselves to lighten things up with ultra-saturated looks — whether with a full set of vibrant garments or with a single pop of color from an accessory.

Most showgoers opted for warm tones rather than cool ones, to create a vivid impact. According to a color psychology study from Columbia University, wearing shades of reds and yellows helps assert power and attention — so it only makes sense that on such a grey New York day, the fashion community took matters into their own hands.
