Skins actress Kaya Scodelario has announced that she is expecting a second child with her husband Benjamin Walker.

Scodelario shared the news on Instagram yesterday (September 18), along with a mirror selfie of her baby bump.

"I tried to set up one of those beautiful pregnancy pictures with the meadow and the golden sunset and the hay and the puppyies and the perfectly put together BoHo outfit and flowing natural hair with baby chicks nesting in it but then I realised that I'm way too tired, achey, and lazy right now," she joked.

Scodelario added: "So, here's me pulling an awkward face in the mirror whilst wearing makeup for the first time in six months instead. We are very happy obviously. But mostly super tired."

Scodelario already shares a son with Walker, whom she married in 2015. Their son was born in November 2016 and the family currently lives in New Zealand.

Fans were delighted by the news, sharing their congratulations underneath her post.

Though Scodelario has had an extensive career, she previously told the Evening Standard that being a mother has made her more selective of roles.

She said: "When I first started out I was just looking for employment, I just wanted to work. But now I think being a mum means I have to be pickier if I'm going to be away for six months on the other side of the world."

Scodelario rose to fame as Effy Stonem in the teen drama Skins, which explores drugs, sex, and teen angst. She has also appeared in The Maze Runner, the YA trilogy about a group of teenagers stuck inside a maze trying to find a cure for the zombie apocalypse, as well as the fifth incarnation of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Most recently, she starred opposite Zac Efron in the Ted Bundy-inspired film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
