Small fire extinguished at BP's Cherry Point, Wash, refinery
May 31 (Reuters) - A small fire was quickly extinguished on Tuesday afternoon at BP Plc's 225,000 barrels per day Cherry Point, Washington, refinery, said an official with the Whatcom County Sheriff's office.
No injuries were reported. The blaze was put out by refinery personnel, said John Gargett, deputy director of the sheriff's office.
Energy industry intelligence service Genscape had earlier reported elevated flaring at the refinery. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Leslie Adler)
