Sophie Turner Debuts Bleach Blonde Long Bob For New Project
If there's one thing that Sophie Turner has become particularly iconic for, it's her Rapunzel-like, flame red hair.
Bursting onto our television screens in her debut part as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, the 27-year-old actor made waves, not just for her acting chops, but also for her effortless beauty and the glorious crown of plaited locks that became such a feature of the role.
As women are want to do, the Emmy Award nominee has experimented with her beauty looks over the years, testing out platinum styles, the honey blonde of '50s Hollywood sirens and even a shoulder-length lob.
But now, pictures have been released of a new style altogether, thanks to her much anticipated return to the smaller screen, for new TV show Joan.
In a thriller which focusses on the criminal underworld of the 1980s, Turner plays the part of protagonist Joan Hannington, a diamond thief left to fend for herself and her daughter when her husband goes on the lam. She stars opposite Frank Dillane, in the part of an antiques dealer.
In recently released still images from the set, Turner can be seen in full '80s garb, involving a bomber jacket, crease cut eyeshadow, a bold lip and yes, the aforementioned bleached blonde bob, curled under at the ends and teased in a side-sweep around her face.
It's a bold look for the actor, and a brilliant one.
