Sound Oil reshuffles non-executive board

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Upstream oil and gas group Sound Oil (LSE: SOU.L - news) has appointed Richard Liddell and Stephen Whyte as non-executive directors. The former is currently serving as chairman of Falkland Oil, having joined the board of non-executive directors at the London-listed group in 2005, while the latter spent three years as chief operating officer at Galp Energia (Other OTC: GLPEF - news) until 2014.

"I am delighted to welcome Richard and Stephen to the board of Sound Oil," said group chairman executive Simon Davies.

"The wealth and breadth of their combined experience and connections will be of great value to the Company as it prepares for further growth." Sound added Anderw Hockey and Gerry Orbell, both non-executive directors, will step down from their roles. The company's shares were up 0.98% to 14.39p at 0815 BST on Monday.
