South Africa's headline inflation quickens to 6.4 pct y/y in August
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Consumer inflation in South Africa accelerated to 6.4 percent year-on-year in August from 6.3 percent in July, data showed on Wednesday. Economists had expected year-on-year inflation of 6.45 percent. On a month-on-month basis, CPI slowed to 0.3 percent, in line with forecasts, from 1.1 percent in July.
