South Africa's trade deficit yawns to 9.95 bln rand in August
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's trade deficit widened sharply to 9.95 billion rand ($719.04 million) in August from a revised 1.11 billion rand shortfall in July, the national revenue agency said on Wednesday. Exports decreased by 5.9 percent to 5.5 billion rand, while imports rose 3.6 by percent to 3.4 billion rand on a month-on-month basis, the South African Revenue Service said. ($1 = 13.8379 rand)
