It is the former home of Evangelos Papathanassiou, the composer better known as Vangelis, who composed the music for the 1981 film Chariots of Fire, including the famous theme song.
That landed him an Academy Award for best score, and it was considered to be far ahead of its time: the film, set in the 1924 Olympics, was accompanied by electronic tracks, rather than orchestral music.
He also co-scored the soundtrack to Ridley Scott's 1982 science fiction movie Blade Runner.
