Spring-credible! London to bask in unbroken sunshine as temperatures to soar to 14C

Londoners will be in for a taste of spring this weekend as the capital is treated to a spell of unbroken sunshine and warm temperatures.

The Met Office has said that the capital should brace for a cold night on Friday, with temperatures dropping to -2C.

There will be some frost and fog early on Saturday morning before a gloriously sunny day followed by another “chilly” night.

Sunday is also expected to be warm with sunny spells. London can expect eight hours of uninterrupted sun on Saturday with highs of 14C.

Meanwhile, the Met Office said that the weather across the UK will be "mostly dry" with "some sunshine for many, but chilly nights."

The north of England is set for rain clouds on Saturday, while southerners, Welsh, and Scots will enjoy warmer weather.

On Sunday, the whole of the UK can expect dry weather, although with "some cloudier expectations".
