Yahoo Finance Square Acquires Restaurant Digital Ordering and Marketing Platform GoParrot

Investing.com -- Block Inc (NYSE:SQ) subsidiary Square announced Wednesday that it has acquired GoParrot, an all-in-one digital ordering and marketing platform for restaurants.
GoParrot is based in New York, New York, and was founded in 2017, according to its LinkedIn page. It aims to help restaurants to connect more easily with customers through its omnichannel software.
The company has been a long-term partner of Square, with its products integrating with Square’s solutions ecosystem.
GoParrot also provides restaurants with marketing software that provides automated efforts for campaigns and allows sellers to access marketing reports to view engagement and revenue growth.
"With GoParrot, Square sellers can offer an exceptional customer experience with a customizable white-label app that merchants can design to be unique to their brand," Square said in its press release.
"Through the app, buyers can seamlessly place orders while also viewing top selling items and deal popups for enhanced personalization. Restaurants can also increase buyer retention by offering consumers an easy way to track loyalty rewards right from their mobile device," they added.
Block shares are down 3.2% Wednesday.
