Sterling sinks ahead of inflation data
LONDON, Oct (HKSE: 3366-OL.HK - news) 13 (Reuters) - Sterling handed back all of the day's gains against the dollar and sank to a five-month low against the euro, ahead of the publication of British inflation data on Tuesday.
By 0824 GMT, sterling was 0.4 percent lower at $1.5289 . It (Other OTC: ITGL - news) reached a 5-month low of 74.60 pence per euro, 0.7 percent weaker on the day. (Reporting by Patrick Graham and Jemima Kelly)
