Steve-O Flips In and Out of Jail in 9 Hours

Jail was less a stint and more of a layover for Steve-O who was in and out in a mere nine hours this week.

Wednesday night, the 41-year-old Jackass star posted a video of himself flipping off the sign at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles where he was checking in to begin a 30-day sentence, his punishment for an anti-Sea World stunt in August. He has since been released, due to overcrowding, after serving a Lindsay Lohan-esque nine hours.

This summer, Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, climbed a 100-foot crane in L.A. where he set off fireworks while holding an inflatable orca. He was protesting Sea World’s treatment of its killer whales, which many believe to be, at best, cruel, and at worst, criminal.

As a result, Steve-O was charged with trespassing and possessing fireworks. He pleaded no contest.

After he was sentenced, Steve-O posted a comic strip which showed him in jail next to an orca. “[I]f your goal is to make a statement about captivity, you may as well get yourself locked up!” he wrote.
