STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-CSR falls as Q4 outlook disappoints
Shares in CSR (LSE: CSR.L - news) fall more than 7 percent as the chipmaker, which specialises in Bluetooth wireless technology for products like headphones, disappoints the market with a cautious outlook for the final quarter.
The company says revenue for the fourth quarter will be in the range $195 million to $215 million, just short of consensus of $217.5 million, according to Jefferies.
Analyst Lee Simpson says the weaker-than-hoped for guide for the fourth quarter overshadows better-than-expected third quarter results.
"Weakness is coming from consumer segments, especially cameras, although the firm is buoyed by ongoing strength in Voice & Music and Autos as well as upcoming opportunities with Bluetooth Smart," he says.
