Shares in German cement maker HeidelbergCement (Other OTC: HDELY - news) fall 3.3 percent to the bottom of the blue-chip Dax index on disappointment over the proposed dividend payment.

Though HeidelbergCement aims to increase the payment 28 percent to 0.60 euros ($0.83) per share, analysts polled by Reuters on average had expected 0.91 euros.

"Shareholders had expected more," says one trader with regard to the dividend proposal.
