STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Infineon up on results, bullish outlook

Shares in Infineon (Xetra: 623100 - news) jump 5.2 percent to the top of Germany's blue-chip DAX index in early trade after the German chipmaker reports consensus-beating quarterly results and tones up its outlook.

"Infineon is in an excellent position to grow disproportionately in the next quarters," DZ Bank analyst Harald Schnitzer says in a note to clients.

Infineon now sees revenue growth and core operating margin for the financial year through September reaching at least the upper end of its target ranges of between 7 and 11 percent and 11 to 14 percent, respectively.
