STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-SES at 10-month high as Nomura upgrades to "buy"
Shares in satellite operator SES rise as much as 3.7 percent to a near 10-month high, helped by a note by Nomura analysts upgrading the stock to "buy", traders say.
Nomura, which is bullish on the satellite sector with "buy" recommendations on peers Eutelsat (Paris: FR0010221234 - news) and Intelsat as well, says that SES should post strong growth on the back of the SES-6 satellite increasingly being booked by clients.
The analysts also point out that costs should come down as the satellite replacement programme draws to a conclusion.
"We believe that there is scope for SES to restart its share buy-back programme," Nomura writes in a note to clients.
At 1110 GMT, the group's shares are 2.4 percent higher, making them one of the strongest performers on the FTSEurofirst 300 index of leading European shares.
