STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps advance 0.1 percent

UK small caps advance 0.1 percent, with junior-listed AIM shares and the mid-caps both off 0.1 percent.

Thorntons (LSE: THT.L - news) rises 1.3 percent after the chocolatier says it is encouraged by the strong order book in its FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) division, and that it is in a good position ahead of the key Christmas trading period.

Investec Securities lifts its price target on the stock, to 124 pence from 112 pence, and reiterates its "buy" rating.

Aeorema Communications, a corporate communications and events specialist, firms 7.3 percent, extending gains from the previous session when it said it had returned to profitability and announced a maiden dividend.
