STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps index falls 0.2 percent

The FTSE Small Cap index falls 0.2 percent, but outperforms a 0.3 percent weaker FTSE 250 mid-cap index and a 0.4 percent drop on the blue-chip FTSE 100 index.

Shares in 24/7 Gaming Group slip 23 percent after the company said it had raised about 500,000 pounds ($834,900) before expenses by way of a subscription of new ordinary shares.

Software (Xetra: 330400 - news) company Anite (LSE: AIE.L - news) gains 0.6 percent after saying its third quarter has overall been in line with expectations, continuing the positive trends experienced in the first half.
