STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps fall in line with blue-chips
The FTSE Small Cap index closes down by 0.3 percent while the junior-listed FTSE AIM All Share Index falls 0.4 percent.
The decline on the small caps' indexes is broadly in line with a 0.3 percent fall on the blue-chip FTSE 100 index, while the FTSE 250 mid-cap index - which hit a record high on Oct (KOSDAQ: 039200.KQ - news) . 22 - declines by 0.1 percent.
Oil and gas explorer Magnolia Petroleum (Other OTC: MGPTF - news) rises 6.5 percent on news that non-executive directors have been buying shares in the company.
Renold (LSE: RNO.L - news) climbs 3.4 percent to 46 pence, extending gains from the previous session when the supplier of industrial chains and related power transmission products said it expected full-year results to come in substantially ahead of current market expectations.
N+1 Singer lifts its target price for the stock to 53 pence from 44 pence.
