STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps end up 0.6 pct, ahead of AIM
The junior-listed FTSE AIM share index closes flat, lagging the small caps, up 0.6 percent, the mid-caps, up 1.1 percent and the blue chips, up 0.8 percent.

Oil producer Exillon Energy (LSE: EXI.L - news) drops 4.8 percent after reports saying that Singaporean state investment company GIC (KOSDAQ: 019570.KQ - news) has sold nearly half its stake in the company.
