STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-UK small caps close up 0.4 pct

The FTSE Small Cap index ends up 0.4 percent and the junior-listed FTSE AIM All Share Index firms 0.7 percent, against a 0.2 percent rise posted by the blue chips and a 0.5 percent advance by the midcaps.

ITM Power (Other OTC: ITMPF - news) climbs 4.5 percent after saying its five hydrogen refuelling sites have been approved for planning on the Isle of Wight.

Darty (Other OTC: KESAF - news) , Europe's third-largest electricals retailer, gains 0.8 percent to 130.50 pence after UBS (Xetra: UB0BL6 - news) raises its target price for the stock to 150 pence from 135 pence and reiterates its "buy" rating.
