Catch The Final Round at 3:55 ET p.m. with Jen Rogers and Yahoo Finance markets correspondent Myles Udland and Dan Roberts.

Winners and losers

Stocks in the red include Tupperware as the maker of storage products and other home goods warns on lower sales as well as a negative impact from the new tax law; American Airlines as its first quarter outlook was mostly unchanged from January, as investors were looking for more improvement; and Hershey, as shares are down as UBS downgraded the stock to sell claiming Hershey is overexposed to slowing demand for chocolate and intensifying competition from rivals Mars and Mondelez.

Stocks in the green include VeriFone Systems, with shares up after word the payment systems company will be bought for $3.4 billion by PE firm Francisco Partners; Nvidia shares getting a boost as Morgan Stanley upgrades the visual tech company on cryptocurrency; and Sprint, with shares on the rise following a Journal report claiming that Sprint has rekindled merger talks with T-mobile for the third time in four years.
