Winners and losers

Stocks in the red include Tiffany as the high-end jeweler’s same-store sales and forecast disappointed the Street; Broadcom despite beating on both the top and bottom lines, as investors were underwhelmed by the chipmaker’s guidance; and Overstock, with shares tumbling in early trade, as the discount site and now crypto-currency player reported a larger than expected loss, and revenue that missed the mark.

Stocks in the green include Ulta Beauty despite an earnings miss as comp sales jump nearly 9%; Jabil Circuit as the electronics supplier, which counts Apple as a client, beat on earnings; and Adobe, with shares popping as the creative software maker beat on both the top and bottom lines, as subscription revenue climbed higher.
