Strictly Come Dancing shares details of week one dances
This week marks the start of Strictly Come Dancing's live shows for 2020 and on 24 October, we'll see the contestants battling it out on the dance floor for the first time.
We caught a glimpse of their skills during the group number featured in last week's launch show, but now's the time for them to take to the stage in pairs and really strut their stuff.
Strictly has revealed the dance styles each of the couples will be dancing, as well as the music they'll be competing to.
From cha chas to paso dobles and foxtrots to tangos, there's lots to look forward to.
Here's what you can expect from the night's performances:
Caroline Quentin and Johannes, American Smooth, 9 to 5 (Morning Train) by Sheena Easton
Clara Amfo and Aljaz, cha cha, Don’t Start Now by Dua Lipa
Jacqui Smith and Anton, foxtrot, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life by Monty Python
Maisie Smith and Gorka, samba, Samba by Gloria Estefan
Nicola Adams and Katya, quickstep, Get Happy by Ella Fitzgerald
Ranvir Singh and Giovanni, paso doble, End Of Time by Beyoncé
Bill Bailey and Oti, cha cha, Pata Pata by Miriam Makeba
HRVY and Janette, jive, Faith by Stevie Wonder featuring Ariana Grandé
Jamie Laing and Karen, cha cha, Think About Things by Daði Freyr
Jason Bell and Luba, American Smooth, My Girl by The Temptations
JJ Chalmers and Amy, waltz, What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
Max George and Dianne, tango, Best Fake Smile by Dua Lipa
Of course, Strictly will be slightly different this year due to the pandemic. Executive producer Sarah James has spoken about a new kind of feel in Claudia's upstairs area.
While Tess keeps things smooth sailing on the dance floor, Claudia is known for running a raucous upstairs area that's bustling and filled with laughter. While we're sure there'll be plenty of jokes flying still, it's set to be much quieter this season.
"Claudia will obviously only be able to speak to one couple at a time in her area and we won't be able to have all of the cast up there like usual, but Claudia is so brilliant with the people and with the contestants so I have no doubt that she'll still be able to have lots of fun just with one couple," Sarah said.
"The other couples will be watching from the audience this year. We've got distanced tables for them and they will all be able to watch each other, so I think we'll still really get that sense of camaraderie and have them all being able to support each other. We've come up with some other creative fun ideas of things that we can do up in Claudia's area."
