Support Father & Son Day with Acqua di Parma

Father and Son Day was established in 2014 by testicular cancer survivors, Daniel Marks and Jack Dyson, in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. As well as raising funds and awareness, it promotes a conversation around men’s health – and celebrates that unique generational relationship, between father and son.

Now in its 7th year, the campaign has been joined by Acqua di Parma in an original initiative. From 19 June to 27 June, the luxury Italian grooming brand is offering a unique haircut service at Barbiere, the in-house barber in Selfridges on London's Oxford Street.

For every "Father & Son service" booked, Acqua di Parma will donate the full amount of £65 to the charity’s campaign, helping to fund a variety of roles that support The Royal Marsden’s patients, including two psychologists, an exercise specialist, and a dietician – all important players in offering support to those with cancer.

Many of us can probably remember trips to the barbers with our fathers, and what a particular and bonding experience they were. A true ‘father and son' moment – as it continues to be so.

"As well as raising much needed funds for The Royal Marsden, our aim has always been to encourage men to talk more openly about their health issues and where better to do that than in the barber’s chair. Sitting in the Barbiere in Selfridges and being looked after so well also offers a moment of reflection, of self-care, of tranquillity and of ensuring we feel our best selves," says Daniel Marks.

As the world opens up again and in line with Father's Day, it’s the perfect excuse for a bit of pampering, a haircut and most importantly a way to show your support for this special cause.
