Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has debuted a brand new hairstyle as she returned to the ITV breakfast show.

Reid returned to GMB this morning (4 September) after taking time off for the school holidays, with her hair cut into a shorter, blunt bob with highlights.

She unveiled the new look on Twitter/X yesterday, sharing a selfie of the new hair alongside the caption: "NEW TERM - NEW TRIM! Back @gmb tomorrow with @edballs. Looking forward to seeing you from 6am."

The presenter later posted another photo of the new look, following an on-air debate with singer Cher about the key to looking young while growing older.

"The mid-life hair debate! At 52 I've had the CHOP," she wrote. "But Cher told me [on] @gmb this morning, women should keep it LONG as they grow older. What do YOU think?"

Earlier this year Reid marked 20-years presenting breakfast TV celebrating the moment on-air with co-presenter Ed Balls.

Reflecting on the achievement the presenter also paid tribute to her late co-star Bill Turnbull, who passed away last year. Reid had first appeared alongside Turnbull on BBC Breakfast back in 2003.

"I started with Bill Turnbull, and it is really a shame not to be able to celebrate with Bill," she said of the milestone.

"I'd love to be able to text him this morning and talk to him about that. He was absolutely brilliant, but luckily I am surrounded by other brilliant people and so thank you very much for being with me on the journey."

Adding that Turnbull's passing was still painful for her, Reid said: "He taught me everything I know about presenting."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1.
