Taylor Swift wore a stunning floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown at last night’s ‘Cats’ premiere in New York City.
The 30-year-old, who stars as Bombalurina in the upcoming release, wore an appliquéd ruby floral fil coupé satin gown from the fashion house’s pre-spring 2020 collection.
The dress featured an intricate floral print, a strapless bodice and a dramatic train.
It also boasted pockets, allowing Swift to adopt a power stance on the red carpet.
Pockets sewn into women’s garments have proved something of a micro-trend in recent years, with a wedding dress featuring pockets going viral earlier this year.
The majority of women’s dresses and skirts don’t feature pockets, often making them fairly impractical.
Swift’s exact gown, worth $17,990 (£13,623) is currently sold out on the Oscar de la Renta website.
Yet, for those with a spare £6,190 to splash, a shorter mini dress version is available in the same print on the Net-a-Porter website.
Swift teamed the dress with a pair of red Chloe Gosselin ‘Narcissus’ heels, worth $613 (£465).
She accessorised with Maxior Joias earrings and an Oscar Heyman sapphire ring worth $13,500 (£10,235), sold by Beladora Jewellery.
An additional ring by Borgioni completed the look.
Swift, who has recently been announced as a headliner for next year’s Glastonbury Festival, matched her bold sartorial colour choice with a matte red lip. Her hair was swept back in a sleek up-do.
