Teen accidentally catches her hair on fire while filming TikTok

Going viral is risky business, but I can honestly say that one of my attempts has never caught my hair on fire.

Unfortunately, TikTok user @giagoldd cannot say the same.

As part of the latest spooky trend, users have been giving themselves devil horns using the app’s Time Warp Scan feature.

Instead of using her fingers like most of the other users have done, @giagoldd used two lighters, just as @lilhottbox did before her. The 18-year-old’s remake didn’t quite go as planned, though, and her hair briefly caught on fire.

Thankfully, she thought quickly and put the fire out immediately with her hands.

“LMAO YALL … SET MY HAIR ON FIRE. Pay for me I’m dumb as s***,” she wrote in her caption.

The video now has more than 27 million views and over 5 million likes.

Commenters were both impressed by her artistry and wary of its implications.

“Lowkey turned out kinda good though,” one wrote.

“That’s what you get for playing with the devil,” another said.

“This video so FIRE,” a third joked.

Later that day, @giagoldd shared a video in which she nailed the horns without catching her hair on fire. She did pretty well with the angelic version, too.

She also confirmed that her hair is, in fact, okay. Thank goodness.
