Teen packs elaborate lunches for her parents in sweet TikTok series: 'I give them [new] things to try'

A 19-year-old college student packs stunning lunches for her parents almost every day.

Decode and demystify Gen Z's latest online slang terms with In The Know's new glossary.

Georgie Goodrum hails from Lincolnshire, U.K. The teen’s inspiration to make eye-catching bento boxes came from Jessica Woo, who does the same for her children on TikTok. The devoted daughter makes her parents lunch Monday through Thursday as a way to pay them back for all the meals they packed her growing up.

Here's how to protect yourself from shady sneaker resellers and buyers

“What people think I mean when I say I make lunch for my parents,” Goodrum said in a video.

She showed stock photos of plain sandwiches with prepackaged chips.

“Versus what I actually make,” she said.

Goodrum cut to photos of her elaborate lunches featuring colorful salads, burritos, quesadillas and stuffed peppers.

In another popular video, she packed them English muffin pizzas, pesto salad, pistachios and chocolate Hobnob cookies for dessert.

Goodrum usually keeps the lunches secret from her mom and dad until she posts about them on TikTok. She tries to expand their palates by giving them lots of variety.

“I give them things to try that they might not necessarily like beforehand,” Goodrum told Fox News.

But most of her recipes and concoctions come from whatever she has in the fridge.

“Most of the time, I kind of just stand in the kitchen, have a look at what we’ve got in the house and try and use up things like leftovers or things that we’ve got already,” she told Fox News. “It’s kind of just mixing creativity whilst using up the resources that we have.”
